The Minnesota River Area Agency on Aging (MNRAAA) provides advocacy, information, resources and assistance so that older adults can maintain the lifestyle of their choice.
MNRAAA’s Legislative Priorities for 2022:

Volunteer Drivers – Federal
- MNRAAA supports and partners with the Volunteer Driver Coalition of Minnesota to advocate for the change in the current charitable mileage rate ($0.14) to be equal to the current business rate and allow the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to develop a mechanism to adjust the charitable mileage rate on an annual basis.

Social Isolation
- MNRAAA advocates for an increase in funding to support services which target individuals facing or may face social isolation. MNRAAA supports and encourages the State of Minnesota to complete a study around social isolation and identify best practices to mitigate social isolation
